You know I don't have a lot of readers. But I don't post much so that's probably a really good thing. But I felt like posting today.
It's pretty amazing what God can do. I don't know about you, but personally I'm not very good at giving God that which he is due. If you read Kayla's most recent post then you saw that she had a really cool experience where her mom prayed for her and something cool happened. For me personally I've had some cool experiences at work. Tuesday this week I had a low sales day. (For those who don't know, I sell discount dental plans) But Wednesday I had a great day. IN FACT. So did most people at the office. We SMASHED our previous record. I got home and found out that my family had all prayed that I would have a great day at work. Turns out they've been doing that a lot. And guess what? I now have one of the highest averages this year in the office. A 17 (Almost 18) year old guy having one of the best averages. That's called a blessing.
God has it covered. I've been thinking a lot about the future lately. And though I don't know what God has in store. But I know God has a plan.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
How cool is that!! Sounds pretty cool to me. No matter what life throws at me I know God's got a plan. I look forward to it. God has blessed me so far with a great family, Great friends, a great job, and a great church

The Light
Have you ever had a moment where you wish that you could take pictures with your eyes?
This morning I looked at the weather on my phone to find that a large amount of North Texas was covered in fog. I start work at 7 so I leave around 6:30. (Meaning it's dark still) When I walked outside I found that it was extremely dense. I got in my truck and as I started driving. I quickly found that I couldn't even see a red or green light, or cars going the other direction, till I was about 30 yards away. It became rather scary. After I reached the highway (which was better lit) I was able to see better. But it was amazing how slow people were driving. I've never been in Texas and seen the left lane almost completely empty.
When I exited off of I-35 I went on the overpass that goes way over all the other roads. The fog here was even worse. I could only see a few cars ahead of me. But as we came over the top I got to look down and see something really cool. The lights of the cars below me were hard to see but the patterns they made were amazingly cool looking. You couldn't see the car they were connected to at all. It's hard to describe but the lights looked like white stars moving along the ground.
It reminded me of the message at church yesterday. We started out with the lights off. We talked about darkness. Some people are comfortable with the dark, they feel that they can see just fine. But can they really? No. But then when you see a light, you realize what you've been missing.
Some people walk through our world like that. Unaware of the light that exists. But how cool is it when they see a light. That thing of beauty. That thing that brings clarity. That shows them the way to the greatest light. That's our mission. To be a light. To bring some clarity to their lives, to show them what they have been missing. I now have this image in my head and I can see these lights that are surrounded by darkness. Thats us! But those little lights made a huge difference. I don't know about you, but I want to be one of those lights.

Now Is The Time To Stand
I was looking at this band on grooveshark and saw these 2 songs. I have it on the playlist on the upper left so you can listen to it. It is a real calling to me. It reminds me of what it means to be A MAN. My dad created the acrostic for me when I turned 13.
A.cknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior
M.astered by none other. Not fear, lust, or passivity.
A.ccepts the accountability responsibility that comes with the privilege.
N.OW IS THE TIME TO LEAD COURAGEOUSLY
That last one applies to everyone. We have lived in darkness but Jesus stepped in and NOW is the time to stand up and make a difference.
We stand, we rise, we give our lives.
We stand, we rise, we give our lives.
[Spoken]
It began long ago, when darkness, through its deceit captured the hearts of the sons and daughters of light. We looked for light but we found only darkness. We searched for bright skies but walked in gloom. We fumbled like the blind along the wall, feeling our way like people without eyes. We were destined to fall, even in the brightest days. We stumbled as if it were dark. Among the living, we were like the dead. We looked for justice, but it never came. We looked for rescue but it was far from us. So He, Himself, stepped in to save us with his strong arm and justice to sustain Him. He put on righteousness as armor, salvation His helmet. He clothed Himself with the robe of vengeance and wrapped Himself in a cloak of divine passion. He slipped out of his royal garments, left eternity to enter time, divinity to wrap himself in humanity. The sea of glass, for the ocean of separation. He left peace, and for the first time felt pain. Because the very hands that held the stars were now sentenced to wear my scars. It was love that purchased this traitor’s heart. It's what the prophets spoke about when they envisioned light living in men once again. For this reason, I AM LEGEND, predestined for greatness, built for the final hour. I was born for this with weapons in hand, armor in place. I now march to the beat of a different drum. I will break through battle lines that have been drawn by discouragement and despair. What more is left to be said? Time has met its end. It's now or never. Collision with me, myself, and I. You see my mission today is clear: to wake the dead. So let freedom's song rage. You’re not abandoned. You're not alone. Last day warriors arise from yesterday's ash and raise your fist with us. We are the army that is charging upon the land. Defeat is no longer and option! IT IS VICTORY.
We stand, we rise, we give our lives.
We stand, we rise, we give our lives.
We stand, we rise, we give our lives.
So will you join? Or sit on the sidelines? I know my choice.
